We the people-the publisher!

We, the people of MN (and the USA) are going to help Bob Fisher get his story in bookstores-because we believe that by telling his story we will encourage others to become bite-sized philanthropists. Here's how you can help:
• 1 Word—$1
• 1 Sentence—$10
• 1 Paragraph—$50
• 1 Page—$250
• 1 Chapter—$2500

The Whole Story

Publishing Bob Fisher Have you ever thought, “Hmmm, I wish Bob Fisher’s story was published in a book?” Well, here’s an idea that’s even better than that…WE can be the publisher of Bob Fisher’s book ShoeBob—Heart & Sole. But first, let’s back up a bit. Everybody within 100 miles of the twin cities has heard of Bob Fisher. “Oh yeah, I know him…he’s that crazy shoe-repairman guy from Wayzata who sleeps out in a tent, every year, in winter, freezing his buns to raise millions of dollars for the homeless. Yeah, whacky dude—but that’s really cool!” Well it’s time that we, the people of Minnesota, put Bob’s story in bookstores. Here’s how we can become Bob’s publisher. His book, ShoeBob, is going to be for sale—one word at a time. Here’s what I mean. If you want to have a part in publishing Bob’s book, you can do it ‘by the word.’ For every dollar contribution you make, one word will be purchased and ready to be published. Check it out: • You buy one word for one dollar. • You buy one sentence for ten dollars. • You can buy a paragraph for $50. • You can buy a page for $250. • Or go crazy and buy a chapter for $2500. This is how we, the people, are going to publish Bob’s book for him!! The cost to get this book written, edited, proofed, designed, printed, distributed, and in stores by this November is around $60,000. That includes the first 10,000 copies in print. If we can raise that amount by the end of June, we will have ShoeBob in stores in time for the Sleep-Out in November. Do you realize how much additional publicity that will give to the Sleep-Out, how that could spike donations? Not only is this a great story that will encourage generosity, but it also has the power to inspire future generations of bite-sized philanthropists like Bob Fisher. You can help. Buy a word.
